The Purpose of HomePlace Ministries is Helping People Encounter Jesus.

For some people, this means meeting Jesus for the first time and realizing that He is relevant to their lives.  For others, this means understanding how Jesus intersects with their lives in their current situation.

At HomePlace Ministries, we desire to help people experience the light of the presence of Jesus.  It is our belief that: “...if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.”  John 1:7

Our culture believes that intimacy best occurs in the darkness.  The greatest intimacy, however, occurs in the Light as we have an encounter with Jesus that we can understand.  In the Light of His Presence, we form our deepest relationships and encounter the One who “purifies us from all sin.”

At HomePlace it is our desire, above all else, to help people encounter Jesus in the light of their understanding so that they can experience His forgiveness and the relationship with Him and others we were all meant to have.

Wild Game Dinners

As host of the nationally syndicated hunting program, Adventure Bound Outdoors (ABO), we helped pioneer the Wild Game Dinner as an evangelistic event for the local church. We specialize in reaching unchurched men through this awesome experience with nature.

Active Duty Wounded Soldier Retreats

At HomePlace Ministries, we believe that the best way to heal is to be in nature, with your friends, experiencing the beauty of our created world. This is why we bring active duty soldiers who are in the process of recovering from their injuries, to come to HomePlace for a weekend of RNR. These soldiers are members of the soldier recovery units.

Marriage Encounter Weekends

HomePlace Ministries also helps marriages experience the presence of Jesus on an ongoing basis.  The book, Choosing Your Way to a Great Marriage co-authored by Chuck and Janice McAlister, is written in a workbook format to be used either in a classroom setting with a facilitator or in a marriage retreat weekend.
